On behalf of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb expressed his deep gratitude and high esteem to the officials of the Ministry of Energy and Renewable Energies—led by the Minister—as well as to all the officials and staff of the Sonelgaz Group, for the great professionalism, total mobilization, and high sense of responsibility demonstrated in the immediate handling of the technical fault that caused a power interruption in several wilayas in the east of the country on Tuesday-Wednesday night.
In a statement, the Prime Minister praised the rapid reaction, effective intervention, perfect coordination, and total commitment of the various technical teams during repair operations. These efforts allowed for quick control of the situation, the repair of the fault, and the gradual restoration of the electricity supply in the shortest possible time, thereby limiting the consequences of the incident and ensuring a swift return to the normal operation of the national electrical grid.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the readiness, professionalism, and capacity of national talents to handle this emergency situation testify to the advanced level reached by the national production, transmission, and distribution system for electrical energy. He added that it also reflects the commitment of the officials and agents to fulfilling their missions in service of the general interest and the continuity of public service.
