The Minister of International Cooperation and Promotion of Public-Private Partnership of the Republic of the Congo, Denis Christel Sassou Nguesso, paid a visit this Tuesday to the Zmirli pharmaceutical production unit belonging to the public group Saidal in El Harrach (Algiers), where he learned about the group's industrial capabilities and discussed prospects for enhancing bilateral cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry.
The Congolese minister was received by the Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Pharmaceutical Industry, Fouad Benslimane, representing the Minister of Pharmaceutical Industry, Wassim Kouidri, alongside the Director General of the Saidal group, Younes Bouarara, in the presence of executives from the ministry and the group.
The visit provided an opportunity to review the production capabilities available to the Saidal group and to discuss ways to develop cooperation between Algeria and the Congo, particularly through establishing partnerships in the pharmaceutical industry and strengthening export opportunities for Algerian pharmaceutical products to the Congolese market, serving the mutual interests of both countries.
The Congolese minister also toured various production units, where he observed the stages of drug manufacturing, the production technologies adopted, and quality control systems.
On this occasion, the Congolese minister expressed his admiration for the advanced level of industrial equipment and national expertise, praising the strict quality systems applied within the group and emphasizing that Saidal represents a leading industrial model and a key player in the development of the pharmaceutical industry at the African level.
