The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, received on Tuesday afternoon at the ministry's headquarters the Minister of International Cooperation and Promotion of Public-Private Partnership of the Republic of the Congo, Mr. Denis Christel Sassou Nguesso, who is on a working visit to Algeria, the ministry said in a statement.
On this occasion, the two sides reviewed "the state of Algerian-Congolese relations and ways to elevate them to higher levels, particularly in priority areas such as energy, industry, pharmaceuticals, mines, higher education, and vocational training," the statement specified.
Preparations for holding the 8th session of the Algerian-Congolese Joint Commission were also discussed, the same source added.
This meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views and perspectives on several international and regional issues of common interest, the statement concluded.
