The Ministry of Culture and Arts announced the launch, starting August 1, of a cultural, artistic, and recreational program named "Summer, House, Culture and Arts," which will be deployed across various cultural institutions under its supervision throughout the national territory, according to a ministry statement issued on Monday.
Placed under the slogan "Our Summer Is Creativity," this cultural initiative aimed at children, teenagers, and young adults will run until September 1. It aims to "translate into action the sector's policy regarding the promotion of cultural and artistic practice, the reinforcement of programs dedicated to children, teenagers, and youth, and leveraging the summer holidays to develop creativity and uncover talents," the same source specified.
The program features several artistic and cultural workshops allowing children and youth to explore different forms of expression and creation, divided into several sections: "My Neighborhood in Colors," "My Story and My Theater," "The Voice of the Museum," "Poetic Recitation," "Stand-up Comedy," "The Street of the Storyteller and the Meddah," as well as "Mobile Filmmaking," the statement added, stressing that this initiative aims to "encourage the participation of children and youth in artistic and cultural activities during the summer holidays."
As such, the ministry invites children and youth wishing to take part in this program to contact the cultural institutions under the sector in the country's various wilayas to register for the open workshops and benefit from the diverse activities offered, subject to availability.
Finally, the ministry emphasized that the "Summer, House, Culture and Arts" program represents "a privileged summer cultural showcase aimed at discovering and supporting the creative talents of children and youth, while establishing culture as a space for learning, creativity, and expression."
