On Friday, the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, extended his deepest condolences to the families of the victims of a tragic bus overturn accident in the Berrahmoune El Karma area, located in the District of Boumerdès, which left a provisional toll of 25 dead and 44 injured.
In his condolence message, the President wrote: "With deep sorrow and profound sadness, I received the tragic news of the fatal traffic accident in the Wilaya of Boumerdès, which claimed the lives of several of Algeria's children due to road criminals and road terror. Justice will strike with an iron fist and without leniency following the investigations that will uncover the circumstances of this accident."
The President of the Republic continued: "Faced with this immense tragedy that shakes our hearts, we bow in reverence to the memory of all the victims. We extend our deepest and most sincere condolences to their families, praying to Almighty God to surround them with His mercy and welcome them on this Friday into the highest paradise among the righteous and the martyrs."
"We also pray for the speedy recovery of those injured in this painful accident. To Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return."
"On this painful occasion, I declare three days of national mourning, starting today, during which national flags will be flown at half-mast across the entire national territory."
