President of the Council of the Nation, Mr. Azouz Nasri, presented his condolences on Saturday following the death of Abdelhak Ben Boulaïd, a member of the Council of the Nation appointed under the presidential third and son of the symbolic martyr (shahid) Mostefa Ben Boulaïd, after a long illness.
"It is with great affliction and deep sadness that I learned of the passing of our late brother Abdelhak Ben Boulaïd, member of the Council of the Nation under the presidential third, who was called to God after a journey dedicated to the service of the homeland in faithfulness to its principles and values," the condolence message stated.
"With his passing, Algeria loses a son of the revolutionary family. As the son of the hero and martyr Mostefa Ben Boulaïd—one of the primary leaders of the glorious Liberation Revolution and an architect of the outbreak of the November 1st Revolution—he belongs to a lineage whose name remains inseparable from Algeria’s brilliant history and its struggle for freedom and independence. The deceased remained faithful to this great national heritage, proud of his belonging to the school of martyrs (shouhada), and contributed to the service of the country and its institutions," the President of the Council of the Nation added.
"In this painful ordeal, I wish to extend my sincere condolences and deep compassion to the members of his family, his loved ones, and all members of the Council of the Nation, praying to Almighty Allah to grant the deceased His holy mercy, welcome him into His vast paradise, and grant his family patience and solace," Mr. Nasri concluded.
