The first edition of the "Mechanica Al Djazaïr" international exhibition, dedicated to the automotive industry, subcontracting, and spare parts, will be held from February 10 to 12, 2026, at the Oran Convention Center, according to a statement from the organizers.
Organized by the "Eventrad" agency under the high patronage of the Ministry of Industry, and in partnership with the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI), the Council for Economic Renewal, and the Oran Subcontracting Exchange, the exhibition will feature leading players in the sector. Notably, participants will include Stellantis Algeria, Cherry, Jetour, Tirsam, and Emin-Auto, alongside numerous companies specializing in vehicle manufacturing, automotive parts, and industrial subcontracting, the same source specified.
National equipment and component manufacturers, such as Fabcom for batteries and Iris for tires, will also be present, illustrating the diversity and progressive structuring of local supply chains. The exhibition is distinguished by a strong representation of spare parts producers and industrial subcontracting operators, aiming to strengthen industrial integration and promote national production. The source added that this initiative is part of a strategy to reduce imports, increase the local integration rate, and support the emergence of a competitive industrial fabric.
"Organized in collaboration with national institutions, the exhibition takes on a marked institutional dimension, reflecting the public authorities' interest in the development of the automotive industry, which is considered a strategic sector for the diversification of the national economy and investment attractiveness," the statement emphasized.
