The Ministry of Health revealed, on Monday, an Algerian-Tunisian plan to strengthen cooperation in six health sectors.
This announcement coincides with the second day of the visit by Tunisian Minister of Health, Mustapha Ferjani, who is accompanied by a high-level delegation, to Algeria.
The visit, which will conclude on Tuesday evening, includes discussions on cooperation pathways and the exchange of expertise in the following areas:
- Medicines
- Telemedicine
- Genetic medicine
- Vector-borne diseases
- The One Health Approach
- Pharmaceutical Industry
According to a statement from the Ministry of Health, both sides aim to identify areas for future partnership and joint investment that will benefit both countries.
The visit includes a series of high-level bilateral meetings between the two health ministers, as well as expanded discussions involving delegations from both countries.
The visit also features "field visits to various healthcare and hospital facilities, as well as pharmaceutical industrial institutions."
It was also noted that the Tunisian delegation will be briefed on Algeria's pioneering experience in the fields of health and pharmaceutical industry.
