Qualified Travel Agencies Receive Licenses to Organize the 2027 Hajj Season

Fifty-five travel and tourism agencies received their licenses on Wednesday in Algiers to organize the Hajj season for 1448 AH / 2027 AD, during a special orientation meeting chaired by the Director General of the National Office of Hajj and Umrah (ONHO), Tahar Braik.

On this occasion, Mr. Braik emphasized that the organization of the Hajj season "receives great care and attention from the country's highest authorities, led by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Wakfs." He called on the qualified travel agencies to "adhere to professional standards to guarantee the best services for pilgrims."

He explained that this step represents "the beginning of a new phase of responsibility and fieldwork," stressing that the Algerian pilgrim "must remain the focus of all efforts and organization, to ensure their service and preserve their dignity throughout the various stages of performing the rituals."

He added that the qualification of these agencies came "after they met the legal conditions and approved standards," calling for "solidifying the partnership between the National Office of Hajj and Umrah and the travel and tourism agencies, as complementary partners in serving the pilgrims."

On this occasion, he also stressed the need for "full compliance with the instructions, rules, and regulations governing Hajj, whether issued by the competent authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or by the National Office of Hajj and Umrah, while respecting the set deadlines for completing the various procedures."

For his part, the representative of the Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts, Mr. Mustapha Larachiche, congratulated the qualified agencies on receiving their Hajj organization licenses, welcoming "the expansion of the list of qualified agencies by adding five new ones." He also called on the agencies to "maintain constant coordination" with the National Office of Hajj and Umrah and to "commit to a spirit of partnership and integration throughout the various stages of preparation and execution."

The National Office of Hajj and Umrah had revealed on Tuesday the final list of the 55 travel and tourism agencies qualified to organize the Hajj process for the 1448 AH / 2027 AD season, according to the authorized departure airports (Algiers, Oran, Constantine, Tlemcen, Batna, Ouargla, Annaba, Ghardaïa, Laghouat, and Tamanrasset).
