Pan-African Parliament President Congratulates Mrs. Khalida Boufedech on Her Election as APN President

The President of the Pan-African Parliament (PAP), Mr. Fateh Boutbig, congratulated on Wednesday Mrs. Khalida Boufedech on her election as President of the People's National Assembly (APN), expressing his sincere congratulations and best wishes for her success in carrying out her duties.

Mr. Boutbig noted that the election of Mrs. Khalida Boufedech to head the People's National Assembly "embodies the trust she enjoys and reflects her competence and ability to lead the Algerian legislative institution during this phase, thereby strengthening its constitutional role in elevating parliamentary performance, consolidating democratic practice, and responding to the aspirations of the Algerian people."

He added that this election "reflects the advanced position achieved by Algerian women in assuming top responsibilities and embodies the gains made by Algeria in enhancing women's participation in political and institutional life." He renewed his commitment to "continuing to strengthen cooperation and coordination relations between the Pan-African Parliament and the People's National Assembly to serve issues of common interest and contribute to cementing the values of solidarity and integration among the peoples and nations of the continent."
