The Minister of Interior, Local Collectivities and Transport, Saïd Sayoud, presided on Sunday over a coordination meeting via videoconference with the Walis, with the participation of Heads of Daïras and directors of the executive body, dedicated notably to the preparations and conduct of the holy month of Ramadan, indicated a ministry statement.
The agenda of this meeting covered "preparations for and the conduct of the holy month of Ramadan, monitoring the status of consumption of budget allocations for the 2025 fiscal year (program for supporting the socio-economic development of communes and allocations from the Solidarity and Guarantee Fund for Local Collectivities-CSGCL)," in addition to the presentation of "budget allocations for 2026 (program for supporting the socio-economic development of communes and allocations from the CSGCL)," the statement specifies.
At the beginning of the meeting, the minister stressed the need to "guarantee the availability of food products, particularly widely consumed products, and to intensify market control," emphasizing the "importance of vigilance cells established at the Wilaya level to identify and quickly report any dysfunction."
He also highlighted the need to "guarantee the availability of transport at all times, particularly at night, and to grant exceptional authorizations if needed."
On this occasion, Mr. Sayoud insisted on the importance of "maintaining the cleanliness of public places and informing citizens in advance of any scheduled gas, water, and electricity outages, while respecting the precise duration of each outage and the announced schedules."
Regarding the evaluation of budget allocations for 2025, the ministry statement specifies that the minister examined "a detailed presentation by the Director General of Local Collectivities on the evaluation of consumption by local collectivities during the year."
Finally, the minister issued instructions to the Walis to "ensure the finalization of programs specific to each Wilaya and to monitor their implementation within the set deadlines."
