The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) held an extraordinary meeting on Monday to discuss the developments of the military escalation in the Gulf region.
The meeting was held at the IAEA headquarters in Vienna at the initiative of Russia, which requested it last Saturday, following a similar request from Iran.
The extraordinary meeting comes just ahead of a scheduled regular session of the IAEA Board of Governors, which comprises representatives from 35 member states.
