The Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of the National Community Abroad, Mr. Sofiane Chaib, is conducting a working visit to the Kingdom of Spain. He began his visit this Wednesday by traveling to the Consulate General of Algeria in Barcelona, where he reviewed the proper functioning of the various consular services provided to members of the national community residing within this consular district, according to a ministry statement.
On this occasion, which falls within the continuation of the series of programmed field visits to meet members of the national community abroad, Mr. Chaib, accompanied by the Ambassador of Algeria to the Kingdom of Spain and the Consul General in Barcelona, inspected the various consular departments. He reviewed the mechanisms adopted and the means mobilized to improve and develop the quality of consular services, as part of the process of updating and modernizing consular facilities, the statement added.
The Secretary of State also “met with several members of the national community using various services at the Consulate General. He engaged in discussions with them regarding the quality of the consular services provided and the efforts made by the consular staff to address their concerns, in line with the special care that the country's high authorities bestow upon members of our national community abroad, according to the ministry statement.”
