In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Prayers and peace be upon the most honorable of Messengers.
Honorable Sisters and Daughters,
Algeria is deeply proud of you. At this stage, our country is moving towards enshrining women's right to full integration into the current dynamic of transformations aimed at building a modern State. As you celebrate International Women’s Day this March 8th in a New and Victorious Algeria, sharing with women across the globe the commemoration of women's liberation struggles, you stand in this blessed land as the descendants of resistance fighters, martyrs, and Moudjahidate. Their noble paths have elevated them, and their memory echoes far and wide as the ultimate symbol of sacrifice so that the homeland may live.
You are the heirs to the honor and glory of Fatma N'Soumer, Djamila Bouhired, and the countless women of blessed memory whose names our collective memory preserves with the utmost reverence and admiration: Zoubida Ould Kablia, Meriem Bouatoura, Djamila Bouazza, Houria Toubal, Djamila Boupacha, Louisa Ighilahriz, Zohra Drif Bitat, alongside all militants, resistance fighters, and martyrs.
You are also the heirs of the steadfast women who carried their patriotic spirit, the martyrs of national duty, including teachers, doctors, journalists, and rural women who endured the tragedies of extremism and terrorism with immense patience and courage. All of them stood tall with pride and dignity during the great national ordeal, forming the very core of the frontline defending against the threats aimed at undermining the State and its institutions.
My Sisters and Daughters,
Algeria is a State of true citizenship. We are building it through you and with you, by integrating you into all the programs we have launched. We have opened the doors wide to enhance women's roles in the national project, particularly through their assumption of the highest responsibilities, functions, and ranks. Today, the Algerian woman records the highest level of presence in the Government since Independence. She is strongly represented in elected assemblies, constitutional institutions, uniformed services, and all fields of economic activity, including female entrepreneurship and productive family programs, as well as in the sectors of national education, the judiciary, and health. From this perspective, I remain deeply committed to following up on our directives to the Government, to reinforce women's empowerment and achieve the constitutionally enshrined principle of parity.
On this occasion, it gives me great pleasure to conclude by expressing my pride and satisfaction with the various forms of creativity, innovation, and excellence achieved by the daughters of this beloved homeland in the fields of intellect, culture, art, and sports. I also express the pride of the Algerian people in our women's preservation of our cultural heritage and the authentic, deeply-rooted traditions of our society, safely guarded by the educators and nurturers of the rising generations within schools and the embrace of the Algerian family.
I congratulate you on this International Day, wishing you and your families blessed days in what remains of this holy month.
"Long Live Algeria"
Glory and Eternity to our Righteous Martyrs.
Peace, Mercy, and Blessings of Allah be upon you.
