The deputies of the National People's Assembly (APN) adopted today, Monday, the draft law related to the country's territorial organization. This text was adopted in a plenary session chaired by Ibrahim Boughali, President of the National People's Assembly, in the presence of the Minister of Interior, Local Assemblies and Transport, Said Sayoud, and the Minister of Relations with Parliament, Nadjiba Djilali.
This text includes the promotion of 11 delegated Wilayas (administrative districts) into full-fledged Wilayas, within the framework of a studied strategic choice stemming from an objective evaluation of the experience of delegated Wilayas. This experience has proven its effectiveness in bringing the administration closer to the citizen, improving the quality of public service, and accelerating the handling of the population's concerns. Thus, the country's new territorial division will consist of 69 Wilayas.
This concerns Aflou, Barika, El Kantara, Bir El Ater, El Aricha, Ksar Chellala, Ain Oussera, Messaad, Ksar El Boukhari, Bou-Saada, and El Abiodh Sidi Cheikh.
