In a statement issued on Monday, the Ministry of Youth highlighted that the National Youth Plan 2026-2029 ensures effectiveness in addressing youth issues, particularly in the areas of employment, education, and protecting young people from various social ills.

The statement explained that the National Youth Plan 2026-2029 includes "six (6) main pillars: quality education and skills development; economic integration, employment, and entrepreneurship; citizenship, participation, and building trust; access to sports, culture, and entertainment; digital empowerment and purposeful media; and enhancing societal immunity and protecting youth from risks."

According to the same statement, the project also encompasses "20 strategic goals and 54 operational goals. These will be achieved through the activities of the various relevant sectors and supported by measurable indicators, thereby ensuring effective implementation and achieving the desired impact for the benefit of the youth."

The Ministry of Youth noted on this occasion that "this project was prepared by a committee comprising various sectors related to youth. It was developed using a results-based planning methodology, relying on the outcomes of youth focus groups organized by the Supreme Council of Youth in 2023, in addition to its various reports issued over the past three years."

The statement further mentioned that this initiative follows the directives of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, issued during his meeting with the bureau of the Supreme Council of Youth on January 21, 2025. These directives called for the preparation of a national youth plan to serve as a unified national policy that effectively addresses youth issues, especially concerning employment, education, and protection from various social ills.

In line with these instructions, the Minister of Youth in charge of the Supreme Council of Youth, Mustapha Hidaoui, presented an overview of the draft National Youth Plan 2026-2029 during the Council of Ministers meeting held on Sunday, chaired by the President of the Republic.
