The Zionist aggression against Lebanon has left at least 850 martyrs, including 107 children, since the beginning of March, the Ministry of Health announced in a new toll yesterday, Sunday.
The previous toll announced Saturday reported 826 martyrs. Among the martyrs are 66 women and 32 health workers, specified the ministry, according to which 2,105 people have been injured in two weeks of Zionist aggression.
The massive bombing campaign carried out by the Zionist army since March 2nd against Lebanon intensified on Saturday, leaving at least 24 martyrs, more than half of whom were medical personnel.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has also confirmed that 12 doctors, paramedics, and nurses were martyred during a Zionist attack that occurred on Saturday evening against the primary healthcare center in Burj Qalawiya. A few hours earlier, two paramedics had been martyred during Zionist attacks on another health facility.
Condemning these attacks against health personnel, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated that these incidents “highlight the ongoing attack on the Lebanese health system, which is a vital pillar for the population”.
