The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) announced on Monday that projectiles fired by the Zionist army had once again targeted its headquarters in Naqoura, in the south of the country, which has been plagued by intense Zionist bombardments since March 2.
"Just before noon today, a projectile struck a building inside our HQ," stated a spokesperson for the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), without reporting any casualties.
UNIFIL further indicated that over the past 48 hours, it had observed "intense gunfire and explosions in and around An-Naqoura" near its HQ.
"Bullets, shrapnel, and debris hit buildings and open areas inside our HQ, endangering the peacekeepers" who "were confined to shelters," the press release added.
The coastal town of Naqoura had been occupied and largely destroyed by the Zionist army during its aggression in November 2024.
