The Commission for the Organization and Surveillance of Stock Exchange Operations (COSOB) has been hosting a training session for journalists in Algiers since Monday. The session focuses on alternative financing mechanisms through the financial market, aiming to strengthen the role of economic media in disseminating reliable financial information.

The two-day training, held at the Commission's headquarters, brings together financial market experts and specialists, along with representatives from public and private media. It aims to enable business journalists to acquire and consolidate essential knowledge and information regarding the financial market.

The objective is to develop their capacity to analyze and interpret corporate financial data. This will allow journalists to simplify complex financial concepts and present them to the general public clearly, accurately, and objectively.

Presentations cover alternative financing mechanisms, particularly through the financial market and investment funds. They also address the role and importance of COSOB, the Stock Exchange, and market intermediaries, the steps involved in taking a company public (IPO), as well as Islamic finance and the various types of Sukuk.
