The second edition of the African Conference on Export and Logistics will be held on April 21 in Algiers, with the participation of more than 200 national and foreign companies, a press release from the organizing body indicated on Monday.
Scheduled to take place at the Sheraton Hotel, this event is organized by the Economic Studies and Investment Development Company (SEEDI), under the patronage of the Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion.
The conference will also bring together representatives from more than 30 African countries and companies operating in several sectors, notably agriculture, agri-food, packaging, heavy and light industries, as well as services, such as banking, insurance, transport, and logistics.
According to the same source, this meeting aims to examine ways to strengthen trade exchanges on the African continent within the framework of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
It will also provide an opportunity to address issues related to controlling logistics costs and identifying opportunities for the promotion of Algerian products on African markets, with the aim of supporting the diversification of non-hydrocarbon exports.
SEEDI further emphasizes that this edition is part of efforts aimed at exploring the opportunities and challenges related to trade and logistics in Africa.
The program also includes several presentations dedicated to the new measures and advantages granted by the State to exporters, particularly regarding competition, intellectual property, investment, and e-commerce.
