The Minister of Religious Affairs and Wakfs, Youcef Belmehdi, launched on Monday from the ministry's headquarters in Algiers the "Hajj Week" caravan, dedicated to the training and awareness-raising of pilgrims.
Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Belmehdi indicated that this caravan, which will travel through the wilayas of Oran, Constantine, Laghouat, Adrar, and Algiers, aims to support and supervise pilgrims to enable them to perform the Hajj rituals in the best possible conditions, noting that it is organized in coordination with the National Pilgrimage and Umrah Office (ONPO).
He further emphasized that complementary awareness campaigns will be organized within this framework across various media, in addition to activities already underway at mosques and Islamic cultural centers.
Recalling the orientation meetings he recently chaired in this regard, the minister "expressed his hope that the pilgrims would be the best ambassadors for Algeria and perform the Hajj rites in the best conditions."
