A joint parliamentary delegation from both chambers of Parliament is conducting a visit to Tunisia and Mauritania from April 12 to 23, in connection with Algeria's candidacy for the presidency of the Pan-African Parliament, according to a statement issued this Saturday by the People's National Assembly.
The same source explained that “a delegation of representatives from the People's National Assembly to the Pan-African Parliament, as part of a joint parliamentary delegation from both chambers of Parliament, is conducting a visit to both Tunisia and Mauritania. This visit falls within the framework of Algeria's candidacy for the presidency of the Pan-African Parliament”.
During this visit, the parliamentary delegation will hold meetings with the President of the Tunisian National Council of Regions and Districts, Imed Derbali; the Speaker of the Tunisian Assembly of People's Representatives, Brahim Bouderbala; and the President of the Mauritanian National Assembly, Mohamed Bamba Meguett, according to the same statement.
The participating delegation includes two members of the People's National Assembly: Mrs. Bahdja Lammali, Chair of the Committee on Transport, Industry, Communications, Energy, Science, and Technology at the Pan-African Parliament; and Mr. Mohammed Segres, member of the Committee on Rules, Privileges, and Discipline at the Pan-African Parliament.
