Oil prices climbed above the $100 per barrel threshold on Monday morning.
Brent crude futures rose by $7.11, or 7.47%, reaching $102.31 per barrel by 22:04 GMT, following a 0.75% decline at Friday's close.
Meanwhile, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude was recorded at $104.43 per barrel, an increase of $7.86, or 8.14%, after dropping 1.33% in the previous session.
