Units of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army (SPLA) carried out a "qualitative operation" against Moroccan occupation forces in the Tichla sector, according to a military communiqué released Tuesday by the Sahrawi Ministry of Defense.
"As part of ongoing combat operations, SPLA units conducted a qualitative operation on Tuesday, directly targeting a fixed surveillance and reconnaissance system used by the Moroccan occupation for early detection in the Kelb Ezzlim region (Tichla sector). This operation hit the target with precision and direct impact using appropriate weapons, inflicting heavy material and human losses on the Moroccan occupier," the communiqué stated.
Furthermore, advanced units of the Sahrawi army targeted military fortifications of the Moroccan occupation forces on Sunday along the front line of the sand wall (Wall of Shame) using appropriate weaponry, "resulting in deaths and injuries among their ranks."
The SPLA reaffirms "its determination to continue the armed struggle until victory and the restoration of national sovereignty," the source emphasized.
