On the sidelines of his participation in the second day of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, held bilateral talks today in Antalya with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Mr. Sergey Lavrov.
The meeting provided an opportunity to review the various dimensions of the strategic partnership between Algeria and Russia, emphasizing the importance of elevating it to higher levels across various fields, particularly within the framework of preparations for the next session of the Joint Governmental Commission. The two ministers also discussed ways for joint contribution to boosting Arab-Russian and African-Russian relations, in the context of ongoing preparations for upcoming high-level events in this regard.
On another note, the two ministers exchanged views and analyses on several current international and regional issues, primarily the developments in the Middle East, the latest updates on the Palestinian cause, as well as the situation in the Sahel-Saharan region.
