The Ministry of National Education announced Sunday in a communiqué that, in preparation for the upcoming 2026–2027 school year, registration for the first year of primary school will be carried out exclusively through the dedicated parents' space on the education sector's information system.
"In anticipation of the 2026–2027 school year, the Ministry of National Education informs all parents concerned with the registration of their children in the first year of primary school—specifically children born between January 1 and December 31, 2020—that the operation will take place exclusively through the dedicated space on the national education sector's information system, via the link: https://awlyaa.education.dz, during the period from May 3 to May 30, 2026," the communiqué stated.
It should be noted that this registration process does not apply to children already enrolled in preparatory classes during the 2025–2026 school year, as they are registered automatically.
Parents whose children are currently enrolled in preparatory classes for the current school year and who wish to transfer their children to other schools may submit their requests through their accounts in the dedicated space on the sector's information system, the communiqué added.
Concerned parents are required to follow these steps:
A. For parents already registered on the Ministry of National Education's information system:
- The parent or legal guardian must log in to their account on the parents' space, then fill out the electronic application form for first-year primary school registration, available in the "child registration" section. They must then select, in order of preference, three (3) schools near their place of residence or work, identifying them accurately. They must also upload copies of documents justifying the relationship between the child and the parent or legal guardian, as well as documents proving their place of residence or work, as applicable (details are provided within the information system).
- Parents wishing to enroll their children in private educational institutions may follow the same procedures by selecting only one establishment.
- The parent or legal guardian must download the application form from the same space and keep it, while regularly checking their account to track the status of the request and submit any necessary reservations.
B. For parents not yet registered on the Ministry of National Education's information system:
- The parent or legal guardian must create a new account via the main interface of the parents' space, then enter the required information in the electronic application form for first-year primary school registration. They must choose three (3) primary schools near their place of residence or work, ranking them accurately by preference. They must also upload copies of supporting documents attesting to the relationship between the child and the parent or legal guardian, as well as those proving their place of residence or work, as applicable (details provided in the information system).
- Parents wishing to enroll their children in private educational institutions may follow the same procedures by selecting only one establishment.
- The parent or legal guardian must download the application form from the same space and keep it, while regularly checking their account to track the status of the request and submit any necessary reservations.
Parents will be informed of the results of their applications via their dedicated space within the national education sector's information system. Lists of admitted students will also be posted in the display areas of the respective schools on Tuesday, June 30, 2026.
The communiqué emphasizes that any registration carried out outside the Ministry of National Education's information system will be considered null and void.
