President Abdelmadjid Tebboune affirmed that the growing competitiveness shown by various national industrial sectors in recent years has significantly boosted Algeria’s non-hydrocarbon exports.

Speaking during his periodic media interview with national press representatives, broadcast Saturday evening on national television and radio channels, the President stated that the improvement in exports reflects the qualitative development of domestic production. He highlighted that Algeria has become "highly competitive" in several fields, particularly in household appliances, even when compared to several European countries.

From Importer to Exporter
The President recalled that only a few years ago, Algeria was an importer of rebar (reinforced steel); however, the country has now transitioned into an exporter of the material, signaling a strategic shift toward developing new industrial units.

In this context, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune noted that the "Fiat Algeria" plant is expected to reach a 40% integration rate, with a clear orientation toward international export markets.

Automotive Industry and the Private Sector
The President also lauded the milestones achieved in the automotive industry, specifically mentioning the inauguration of a factory dedicated to car and truck bodies in the Wilaya of Batna. He pointed out the progress made in manufacturing various automotive components, emphasizing that the "honest private sector is making massive strides" in this domain.

Furthermore, the President noted that Algerian food products, which were previously imported, are now in high demand in several international markets. He concluded that a significant portion of national production is now being strategically diverted toward export to strengthen the national economy.
