Financial Market: Algiers Stock Exchange Strengthened by the Listing of Two New Companies Starting Next Week

The public subsidiary "CRAPC," under the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and "AYRADE," specialized in information and communication technology, will be listed on the Algiers Stock Exchange on July 14 and 15 respectively, the President of the Commission for the Organization and Supervision of Stock Exchange Operations (COSOB), Youcef Bouzenada, revealed on Thursday in Algiers.

Speaking during a press conference organized by COSOB to announce the results and details of the subscription operations aimed at raising the capital of both the economic enterprise "CRAPC Expertise" and "AYRADE," Bouzenada explained that "the official listing of the two companies on the stock exchange will take place next Tuesday and Wednesday." He highlighted that the subscription process was completed "under good conditions and within the set deadlines."

In this context, he noted that the subscription demand exceeded the initial offering in both cases, by 4.55% and 38.4% for CRAPC and AYRADE respectively.

The Algiers Stock Exchange currently includes eight listed companies: Alliance Assurances, Biopharm, El Aurassi, Saidal, Crédit Populaire d'Algérie (CPA), and Banque de Développement Local (BDL), in addition to the small and medium-sized enterprise "AOM Invest" (specialized in financial investments) and the startup "Mostachir."

The Director of Market Operators at COSOB, Rachid Mahmouzi, explained that the subscription for "CRAPC Expertise" was exclusively directed toward subsidiaries of Public Scientific and Technological Institutions (EPST), universities, research centers, schools, and their economic subsidiaries.

The operation resulted in 40,776 shares demanded against 39,000 shares offered for trading, representing a surplus of 1,776 shares. The amount offered was 62,400,000 DZD against a demand of 65,241,600 DZD, showing a surplus of 2,841,600 DZD.

Regarding the results of this operation by wilaya, Algiers ranked first with 60.74% of the shares traded, followed by Constantine and Oum El Bouaghi with 13.51% and 5.68% respectively.

Regarding "AYRADE," which operates in information technology, software engineering, and digital services development, the Director of Studies at COSOB, Selmane Souidi, revealed that the number of shares offered for subscription reached 1,250,000. The total subscribed amount was valued at 1,383,994,400 DZD, with the number of demanded shares reaching 1,729,993—representing an execution rate of 138.40% across 53 wilayas.

In a statement to the press, the CEO of AYRADE, Mohamed Lamine Belbachir, explained that the company's entry into the Algiers Stock Exchange is the fruit of efforts by various stakeholders in the field. He noted that this step will significantly boost the dynamics of the company, which was founded in 2009.

After pointing out that this move would encourage similar companies to enter the financial market, he emphasized that the financial market's single window "contributed greatly to simplifying procedures for AYRADE, particularly regarding listing mechanisms and conditions, aimed at developing the national financial market."

For her part, the Head of the Legal and Financial Engineering Department at the National Agency for the Promotion and Development of Scientific Research (ANVREDET), which acted as the financial market sponsor, Zohra Yahi, explained that listing the CRAPC subsidiary (derived from the Scientific and Technical Research Center in Physico-Chemical Analysis) constitutes a pivotal step. She concluded that this move will help promote and exploit scientific research results while supporting the country's ongoing economic dynamics.
