The eighth edition of the Algerian Products and Services Fair opens today in Nouakchott, featuring a record-breaking participation of over 350 Algerian companies from various sectors. The event aims to bolster the presence of Algerian products in the Mauritanian market, as final preparations move swiftly to ensure the success of this major economic milestone.

In a statement released this Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion indicated that field preparations are proceeding at an "accelerated pace," with exhibition booths being arranged according to modern organizational standards. The Ministry also noted that the program includes bilateral business meetings (B2B) between economic operators, as well as specialized economic seminars designed to discuss investment opportunities and explore new avenues for bilateral partnership.

Running for seven days (May 5-11), the fair marks a "prominent economic event that reflects the growing dynamic of economic relations between Algeria and Mauritania."

The event is expected to serve as a "strategic platform" to strengthen the presence of Algerian products in the Mauritanian market and support efforts to promote non-hydrocarbon exports. This comes as part of a "shared vision to intensify economic cooperation between the two brotherly nations."

The Ministry further emphasized that the exhibition will provide an "integrated space" to showcase a wide and diverse range of Algerian products and services, enhancing partnership opportunities and opening new horizons for cooperation and commercial exchange between economic actors in both countries.
