The Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts announced, in a press release, the organization of the 25th edition of the International Tourism and Travel Exhibition (SITEV), from May 18 to 21 at the Pins Maritimes Exhibition Center (Algiers), under the slogan "Algeria, Authentic Tourism and Sustainable Development."

This international event, organized under the auspices of the Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, Houria Meddahi, constitutes "the most important tourism event in Algeria," the press release specified. It highlighted that the event falls within the framework of "the vision of the highest authorities aimed at consolidating Algeria's place among tourist destinations of choice and highlighting its main natural assets, its cultural and civilizational heritage, and its hospitality."

This exhibition also contributes to the "guidelines aimed at supporting and encouraging domestic tourism through the promotion of the Algerian tourism product, in order to allow families, the diaspora, and other visitors to discover preferential offers and varied tourist services at competitive prices, as the launch of the 2026 summer season approaches," the same source added.

This event, considered a promotional platform par excellence, will "highlight the new dynamic in the tourism sector, supported by the improvement of the investment climate in Algeria, which has encouraged the implementation of tourism projects intended to promote domestic tourism, with an increase in accommodation capacities, a diversification of offers, an improvement in services, and a growing influx of tourists."

This edition will be marked by "broad national and international participation," with 450 exhibitors, including representatives from 41 brotherly and friendly countries from different continents, in addition to the participation of 50 startups specialized in the digital promotion of Algerian tourism products and several international bodies, the ministry stated.

Various actors and professionals, as well as representatives of travel agencies, hotel establishments, transport companies, banks, and relevant ministerial sectors, will be in attendance.

On this same occasion, Algerian artisans, notably from the southern wilayas, will highlight Algerian artisanal creativity in all its diversity.

Meetings and exchanges of expertise are also on the program for this edition, with a view to revitalizing Algerian tourism and encouraging the conclusion of partnership agreements, according to the same source.
