The Prime Minister of the Republic of Chad, Mr. Allah-Maye Halina, received a delegation of experts from the Sonelgaz group, currently on a mission to N'Djamena as part of the launch of the preparatory phase for a project to build an electricity production plant with a capacity of 40 megawatts, a press release from the public group indicated.
This meeting, which took place in the presence of several Chadian government officials as well as the Algerian Ambassador to Chad, falls within the framework of implementing the directives of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, aimed at strengthening African cooperation and promoting South-South partnerships, the press release specified.
The audience provided an opportunity to examine the various technical and organizational aspects of the project, which aims to strengthen the Republic of Chad's capacities in the field of electrical energy production and improve electricity supply, according to the same source.
On this occasion, the Chadian Prime Minister highlighted the importance of this "strategic" project, praising the expertise of the Sonelgaz group in the fields of electricity production, transmission, and distribution, the press release noted.
The Chadian official also highlighted the quality of the cooperation relations between Algeria and Chad, particularly in developmental sectors.
For its part, the Sonelgaz delegation reaffirmed the group's commitment to realizing the project "according to the highest technical standards and within the allotted deadlines," thus reflecting the group's position as an African partner in the field of energy development, the same source added.
This visit falls within the new dynamic characterizing cooperation relations between Algeria and African countries, particularly in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
