The National People's Assembly (APN) is taking part in Rome (Italy) in the meeting of the Mediterranean and Middle East Special Group (GSM) of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization Parliamentary Assembly (NATO-PA), a press release from the lower house of Parliament indicated this Tuesday.
This meeting, which kicked off yesterday, Monday, is being attended by MPs Ayoub Hammad and Mohamed Faouzi Bendjaballah as representatives of the APN, the press release specified.
The themes debated during the first day of this meeting focused on "the current challenges in light of the deteriorating security situation in the Middle East and the Gulf."
In this context, the participants emphasized "the need to combine efforts to quickly achieve a sustainable solution capable of guaranteeing the restoration of security and stability in the region," the same source concluded.
