The Algerian Bus Station Management Company (Sogral) announced on Wednesday the launch of a new digital service allowing travelers to purchase round-trip travel tickets online. This step falls within the framework of efforts to digitalize land transport services and improve the quality of services offered to citizens.
This service, which has been in effect since May 18, initially covers routes from the Algiers bus station to Biskra, Setif, and Tlemcen, before being gradually expanded to the various bus stations across the country, the Sogral press release specified.
The "Mahatati" digital application allows travelers "to consult trip schedules and timetables before purchasing their round-trip tickets," thereby offering a "faster, more efficient service tailored to the needs of citizens," the same source added.
Sogral emphasized that the launch of this service follows the instructions of the Minister of the Interior, Local Authorities, and Transport, aimed at facilitating the movement of citizens and improving reception conditions for travelers. This is achieved through the provision of digital solutions that allow for advance trip planning and remote ticket booking, without the need to travel to the bus stations.
The company indicates that it is continuing its efforts to develop its services and strengthen the digital transformation process within the transport sector in order to meet traveler expectations and improve the quality of public services, the press release concluded.
