The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, was received this morning in Cairo by the President of the brotherly Arab Republic of Egypt, Mr. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
On this occasion, Minister Ahmed Attaf delivered a written message from the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. He also conveyed his fraternal greetings and his aspiration to continue their joint efforts to elevate the relations of brotherhood and cooperation between the two brotherly countries to the broadest possible horizons.
The meeting provided an opportunity to review the positive momentum characterizing Algerian-Egyptian relations in the context of implementing the outcomes of the 9th session of the High Joint Committee held in Cairo last November, particularly the distinguished results achieved in consolidating the economic partnership in line with the ambitious goals set by the two leaders.
The meeting also addressed prospects for continued coordination and consultation between the two parties regarding key current issues at the Arab and African levels, specifically in their immediate neighborhood in the brotherly state of Libya, in light of the regular meetings of the trilateral mechanism involving Algeria, Egypt, and Tunisia.
