The Directorate General of Communication at the Presidency of the Republic extended its deepest condolences to the family of the veteran sports journalist Driss Dakik.
The condolence message read: "The Directorate General of Communication at the Presidency of the Republic extends its deepest expressions of condolences and most sincere feelings of sympathy to the family of the veteran sports journalist Driss Dakik, who passed away following a distinguished media career filled with dedication and professionalism."
The deceased is considered one of the most prominent names in Algerian sports journalism, distinguished by his specialization in numerous sports, such as athletics. His name was long associated with the sports department of Établissement Public de Télévision (EPTV / Algerian Public Television), through which he covered major national and international sporting events, leaving a unique mark and an honorable professional legacy.
With this painful loss, we extend our condolences to ourselves and to the entire media community. We pray to God Almighty in these blessed days to forgive him, have mercy on him, and place his hard work and dedication in the balance of his good deeds.
