The Algerian national team is set to face Bolivia next June, one week before kicking off its campaign in the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals.
The Algerian Football Federation (FAF) had previously scheduled a friendly against the Netherlands in Rotterdam on June 3, as the team's first preparatory test. It also confirmed a second friendly on June 10 against a team that did not qualify for the World Cup.
The Federation revealed yesterday, on the sidelines of its Federal Office meeting, that the national team will face Bolivia in Kansas City, USA.
Bolivia was selected due to the similarity of its playing style to that of Argentina, Algeria's opponent in the World Cup opener. This will allow national team coach Vladimir Petković to assess his players' readiness against a traditional Latin American football school.
