New features have been added to the "Morafikcom" application—originally dedicated to the merchant duty roster system during public holidays—to allow citizens to contribute to market monitoring and improve the transparency of commercial transactions, the Ministry of Internal Trade and National Market Regulation stated in a press release on Monday.
Among the main updates is a feature that allows citizens to report in real time instances where prices are not displayed in stores, as well as anomalies related to the hygiene and safety of products on sale. This contributes to supporting on-the-ground inspection efforts and improving product quality, the statement specified.
These updates are part of a comprehensive strategy aimed at making the citizen a key player in the monitoring system and facilitating communication with inspection services. The goal is to strengthen transparency and increase the effectiveness of field interventions, the same source highlighted.
The Ministry of Internal Trade and National Market Regulation invites all citizens to download and use this application to help embed a culture of responsible reporting in the service of the public interest and the protection of consumer health.
The application is available for free on the Google Play Store (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details) and the Apple App Store (https://apps.apple.com/fr/app/morafikcom/id6743842222).
