The Vice President of the Council of the Nation in charge of foreign relations, Rabah Beghali, received a delegation of US congressional staffers at the Council's headquarters, according to a statement issued by the upper house of parliament on Monday.
Commissioned by the President of the Council of the Nation, Azouz Nasri, Mr. Beghali—accompanied by several members of the Council—welcomed the delegation, which is composed of aides and assistants to members of both the United States Senate and House of Representatives.
This meeting falls within the framework of "parliamentary cooperation, which the Council of the Nation is keen to strengthen with various parliaments around the world," and provided an opportunity to "exchange views on several issues of common interest," the statement added.
