The President of the Republic of Algeria, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, highlighted the potential of the national football team, which recently participated in the 2026 World Cup, calling for the maintenance of its stability.
During his periodic interview with representatives of the national media, broadcast yesterday evening (Monday) across national television and radio channels, the President explained that Algeria possesses a "real reservoir" of players, noting that "if properly taken care of, it is capable of achieving great accomplishments."
He also affirmed that the national team is "a truly fantastic squad," stressing the importance of avoiding any disruption to its positive trajectory. In this regard, he stated: "There must be no disruption whatsoever," recalling that Algeria qualified for the second round of the World Cup finals for the second time in its history.
Touching upon the enthusiastic atmosphere created by Algerian fans during the competition, the President praised their exemplary behavior in Kansas City, explaining that this was the reason behind "extending an invitation to the Mayor of Kansas City and the Governor of the State of Kansas to pay a friendly visit to Algeria."
Furthermore, the President revealed that an invitation was extended to around 100 American tourists to discover the diverse attractions and potential that Algeria has to offer, emphasizing that this initiative falls within the efforts aimed at promoting the country's image.
