The Minister of Vocational Training and Education, Nassima Arhab, revealed this Sunday in Algiers the launch of a national training program called "Sanaa", which will be organized during the summer vacation. The program is aimed at helping youth acquire basic knowledge about professions in highly demanded specialties.

During a meeting dedicated to announcing the program, the Minister explained that registrations for this training started today and will run until June 4 via a dedicated digital platform. Meanwhile, the training program itself will launch on June 15 and last for 45 days at vocational training centers, allowing participants to acquire fundamental knowledge of sought-after professions.

She added that this training program is open to youth from various backgrounds, aged between 15 and 27. It aims to instill a culture of crafts and manual trades and to develop professional skills through an applied training pathway in six core specialties, including painting, architectural electricity, plumbing, welding, and refrigeration, while "adopting a pedagogical approach based on field training and mentorship."

Ms. Arhab pointed out that this initiative is part of a "strategic vision" aimed at "enabling youth to benefit from effective and rapid practical training in increasingly in-demand professions and specialties." It also seeks to facilitate the professional integration of youth, empowering them to launch projects and create micro-enterprises.

In the same context, she highlighted that work is underway to prepare a "special training program" for those registered in the "Sanaa" initiative who wish to continue their training journey during the upcoming academic intake, in parallel with their professional or academic pursuits.
