Mr. Ban Ki-moon: "I Highly Commend President Tebboune's Leadership of Algeria and His Efforts for Peoples to Live in Harmony"

The former Secretary-General of the United Nations and President of the Assembly and Chair of the Council of the Global Green Growth Institute, Mr. Ban Ki-moon, highly commended this Monday the leadership of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and his efforts to establish peace and security worldwide so that all peoples can live in harmony.

In a press statement following his reception by the President of the Republic, Mr. Ban Ki-moon said: "As a former Secretary-General of the United Nations, I highly appreciate the efforts of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and commend his leadership of Algeria and his commitment to ensuring that its people, as well as the populations of Africa and the entire world, live in a harmonious, peaceful, and sustainable manner."

Mr. Ban Ki-moon explained that these principles were among his most prominent commitments during his tenure as UN Secretary-General, recalling that he often emphasized in his discussions with leaders of the organization's member states that "without addressing Africa's challenges, world leaders will never be able to declare that we live in a sustainable world."

He also highlighted that his current commitment as a former UN Secretary-General "has not changed," adding: "I will continue to work with the Algerian people and African nations until we achieve living in a sustainable world to ensure a better life for future generations."
