The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) confirmed that it has documented a new wave of displacement in the Gaza Strip, resulting from the continuous Zionist bombardment of various areas of the Strip and the imposition of restrictions on the entry of aid.

The office stated in a report yesterday, Monday, that last Friday, it documented the displacement of dozens of families in eastern Gaza City after the occupation forces placed yellow concrete blocks, indicating a further expansion of the so-called "Yellow Line" westward.

The statement added that over the weekend, individuals who remained near the area informed OCHA that the lack of security is increasing the pressure on them to face displacement and expulsion once again.

On the other hand, the office confirmed that the Karem Abu Salem crossing remains the only authorized entry point for supplies, which, compounded by construction work that took place there over the weekend, has caused a major traffic bottleneck.

It stressed that restrictions remain imposed on some vital materials, including power generators and various machinery spare parts. The office also mentioned that humanitarian partners reported many newly displaced families left without their tents or belongings. In response, humanitarian aid teams activated the UN-managed Joint Response Mechanism to assist them, ensuring rapid support for families affected by sudden developments.
