The Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs Holds Bilateral Meeting With EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy in the Jordanian Capital

The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, held a bilateral meeting with Ms. Kaja Kallas, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Arab consultative ministerial meeting and the proceedings of the resumed 165th ordinary session of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level in the Jordanian capital, Amman, according to a ministry statement released today, Tuesday.

This meeting allowed, according to the statement, for "discussing the current state of existing cooperation relations between Algeria and the European Union across all fields, and the need to activate bilateral cooperation mechanisms and realize upcoming milestones in order to elevate these relations to higher levels."

The two sides also exchanged views and analyses regarding a number of regional and international issues of common interest, the ministry's statement concluded.
