Directive Issued to Ensure Continuous Opening of Youth Establishments During the Summer Season

The Ministry of Youth has issued a binding directive to all sector officials, instructing them to take all necessary measures to guarantee the continuous and effective opening of youth establishments across the national territory during the summer season, under penalty of administrative sanctions in the event of non-compliance, a ministry statement indicated on Saturday.

This directive specifies that "youth establishments will continue to welcome young people throughout the summer holidays, without interruption, ensuring the continuity of public service every day of the week, including evenings. They will provide them with safe, supervised spaces that meet their expectations and needs," the same source added.

The document also mandates "the mobilization of all human and material resources, the continuous presence of supervisors and activity leaders, as well as the development of diverse programs featuring scientific, cultural, sporting, technological, artistic, and recreational activities."

Furthermore, the directive requires guaranteeing "the best reception conditions, ensuring the cleanliness of the establishments and the availability of their equipment, while strengthening partnerships with associations, clubs, and volunteers in order to enrich the summer program."

To ensure strict compliance with this directive, the Ministry emphasized "the need to ensure personal and on-the-ground monitoring of its implementation through regular visits to the establishments." It stressed that "this directive is mandatory, and its application will be subject to field evaluations through inspection operations and periodic checks, under penalty of administrative sanctions in the event of non-compliance or unjustified closure of the establishments."

On this occasion, the Ministry renewed its call to all youth to "visit youth establishments and take advantage of the programs and activities offered during the summer season. This will allow them to put their free time to good use and strengthen the role of these facilities as spaces for training, creativity, and the promotion of civic values," the statement concluded.
