The proceedings of a study day on the Nazaha efficiency index launched today, Saturday, at the Abdelatif Rahal International Conference Center in Algiers, under the high patronage of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, on the occasion of commemorating African Anti-Corruption Day.

The opening of this study day was overseen by the President of the High Authority for Transparency, Prevention and Combating of Corruption, Ms. Salima Mousserati, in the presence of the Minister of Interior, Local Authorities, and Transport, Mr. Saïd Sayoud, and a number of government members, as well as the First President of the Supreme Court, Mr. Tahar Mamouni, the President of the Council of State, Mr. Mohamed Bennacer, and the Mediator of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Hattab, alongside officials and representatives of national bodies and institutions and others affiliated with the United Nations and the African Union.

In a speech she delivered on the occasion of the opening of this study day, Ms. Mousserati highlighted that "the scourge of corruption has come to strike the economic and social structures of nations, threaten stability, and feed organized crime," and therefore, confronting corruption "is no longer an option but an international obligation that requires African countries to coordinate in order to achieve good governance and social justice."

It is worth noting that the organization of this study day was carried out in coordination with the Algerian Economic Renewal Council and the National Union of Public Contractors, under the slogan "From evaluating anti-corruption efforts in the public administrative sector to consolidating compliance rules in the economic sector."

A video was also screened addressing the reforms undertaken by Algeria under the leadership of the President of the Republic in recent years to combat corruption and enhance transparency, as well as highlighting Algeria's efforts on the African and international stages to combat this scourge and develop joint African action in this field.

On this occasion, Mr. Saïd Sayoud was honored in appreciation of the efforts made within the framework of the "Nazaha" efficiency index for the year 2025, which was launched by institutions under the guardianship of the Ministry of Interior, Local Authorities, and Transport, such as the General Directorate of National Security and the General Directorate of Civil Protection, through the initiatives and practices that were embodied in this field.
