Algerian middle-distance runner Djamel Sedjati is set to compete in the 800-meter race at the István Gyulai Memorial, scheduled for Tuesday, July 14, in Budapest, Hungary. The event is part of the World Athletics Continental Tour Gold series, according to the official entry list released by organizers on Saturday.
The Paris 2024 Olympic bronze medalist will run his first 800-meter race of the season at this meet. This follows his strong performance on Friday, where he secured a third-place finish in the 1000-meter race at the Monaco Diamond League meeting for the 2026 season.
The István Gyulai Memorial will feature a highly competitive field, bringing together some of the world’s top middle-distance stars, including Kenyan runner Laban Kipkorir Chepkwony, which promises to elevate the technical level and intensity of the race.
The various track and field events of this prestigious international meeting will be hosted at the National Athletics Centre in the Hungarian capital, Budapest.
