President of the Republic Congratulates Government and People of Spain on National Team's Coronation as Football World Cup Champions

The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, congratulated the government and people of Spain this Monday on their national team's coronation as 2026 Football World Cup champions, following their victory yesterday, Sunday, over their Argentine counterpart.         

At the beginning of a joint press statement with Spanish Prime Minister Mr. Pedro Sánchez, who is paying a working and friendly visit to Algeria, the President stated: "I congratulate the Prime Minister, the Spanish government, and the friendly Spanish people on the well-deserved coronation of the Spanish football team yesterday, Sunday, as World Cup champions and their acquisition of the second star." 

The President of the Republic added: "I believe it was a highly deserved victory, given the level achieved by the Spanish sports elite."
