The Algiers Metro Operation Company (SEMA) announced on Monday in a statement an exceptional extension of the Algiers Metro's operating hours on Fridays and Saturdays for the 2026 summer season.
The company specified that the last trains will depart at 00:00 (midnight) over the weekend, as part of measures aimed at facilitating citizens' travel and managing the increase in passenger traffic during the summer season.
This exceptional measure aims to adapt the public transport service to the needs of users during the summer period, which is notably marked by an increase in evening travel and activities.
