The Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, Kamel Rezig, received on Tuesday the Ambassador of Ukraine, Oleksandr Voronin, and the Ambassador of Austria, Wolfgang Spadinger, the ministry said in a statement.
The meeting between Mr. Rezig and the Ukrainian Ambassador to Algeria provided "an opportunity to review the status of economic and commercial cooperation relations between Algeria and Ukraine and to examine ways to strengthen them," the statement specified.
The meeting with the Austrian Ambassador to Algeria allowed both parties to review the status of economic and commercial cooperation relations between the two countries and to discuss ways to consolidate them, particularly in "promoting trade exchanges and encouraging partnerships between Algerian and Austrian economic operators," according to the same source.
The two sides also discussed prospects for expanding the presence of Algerian products in the Austrian market and ways to make the most of both countries' potential to serve mutual interests, while emphasizing the importance of intensifying contacts between business communities and activating bilateral economic cooperation mechanisms, the statement concluded.
