The first session of the training program on the Djen Djen port expansion project (Jijel), led by Italian experts, began on Tuesday in Algiers, according to a statement from the Ministry of Public Works and Basic Infrastructure.

This training program is part of the contractual commitments of the Italian consortium Alitamar, which is overseeing the study for the expansion of the Djen Djen port, the statement specified.

The launching ceremony of this session took place at the Higher School of Public Works Management (ESMTP), under the supervision of the Director General of the National Agency for the Construction of Port Infrastructure (ANRIP), Amar Grine.

This first session, designed for executives from the Ministry of Public Works and Basic Infrastructure, ANRIP, and the Maritime Studies Laboratory (LEM), will be led by experts from the Italian design office Modimar, the lead partner of Alitamar, according to the same source.

Through this training program, "ANRIP reaffirms its commitment to strengthening national skills and securing the transfer of expertise and knowledge in the fields of study, planning, and design of major port projects," the statement concluded.
